The UPS range is a series of 3 speed circulator pumps. These canned-rotor type pumps contain a pump and motor within an integral unit, with no shaft seal and only 2 gaskets for sealing. They are used to circulate liquids in heating and air-conditioning systems. Pumps that are fitted with corrosion resistant stainless steel or bronze housings can also be used in hot-water service systems.
The pumps can be used in a wide range of applications: - One and two pipe heating systems - Main and zone pumps - Boiler shunt pumps - Pumps for heating surfaces - Calorifiers - Underfloor heating systems - Solar heating systems - Heat pump systems - Geothermal heating systems - Heat recovery systems - Two-pipe air-conditioning systems - Pumps for refrigeration units
This range of circulator pumps are available in 50 and 60 Hz models and are suitable for use in both open and closed systems. The pumped liquid within the system lubricates the bearings. The pumps are quiet when in use, have a low energy consumption and once fitted are maintenance free.
UPS circulator pumps can be used with a liquid temperature of between 10 and 110oC. They have a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar, a maximum head of 12m and a maximum flow of 10 m3/h. The UPS range is easy to install. The pumps are fitted with an external plug for simple connecting to the electrical system.
Changes to EuP legislation mean that the UPS pumps have now been superseded by the ALPHA2(L) or UPS2 pumps.
