AP Submersible Drainage Pumps

Grundfos AP pumps are single stage stainless steel pumps for waste water and sewage applications. These include:

-       Groundwater lowering
-       Pumping in drainage pits
-       Emptying ponds, tanks etc.
-       Pumping in surface water pits that gather inflow from gutters, tunnels, shafts etc.
-       Pumping wastewater without discharge from water closets
-       Effluents from viaducts, underpasses and other road systems
-       Effluent from showers, washing machines and sinks below sewer level
-       Pumping fibre containing waste water from laundries and industries.

 The maximum size of any particles in the liquid to be pumped cannot exceed 12 mm. The temperature range of the pumped liquid should be between 0 to +55 degrees Celsius. The pumps are available in a manual or an automatic operation and can be installed in temporary or permanent locations. They can also be used as portable pumps.

The pH value range pumped liquids using the AP pumps is 4 to 10. Their maximum installation depth below water level is 10 metres.

AP pumps are made of stainless steel and with a composite base plate. The range is designed for a submerged operation either free standing on the base plate or installed on an auto coupling. The base plate is clipped on with four clips that are hidden under the composite ring that is located at the top of the pump housing. This ring prevents dirt from sticking to the clips.

The single phase AP pumps incorporate a thermal overload protection and do not need any further motor protection. The thermal protection cuts off the motor in case of an overload. In the APG variant models, the three phase pumps must be connected to a motor starter.

In permanent installation the LC 107 and LC 108 controllers are available for one pump installation and the LCD 107 and LCD 108 perform the same function for two pump installations.

There are also explosion proof versions of AP pumps available for those locations where there is a risk of an explosion.
